Working Studios

While doing the Online Drawing Development Year (ODDY) course with the Royal Drawing School, the artist moves to Cambridge. Here there is now an out-of-home studio so an opportunity to create larger works. Cover picture is of a home studio in a basement flat in Marchmont. Luxury at a price.

A course to develop drawing and hone a skill. Drawing makes worlds. It describes what you encounter. Betty Edwards (in Drawing on the Artist Within) says you can use it to solve problems. It is like writing your morning pages (just write anything, day after day, to refocus). This artist loves to read the Bible and think about the things God says. Messages come, especially when you ask for them; also through Church. There exists a collection of drawings that describe “The Wierdness of God’. To keep up, check out the artist’s instagram @helenimogen or Facebook page.
